Meet Dr. Jamison Metcalf

Dr. Jamison Metcalf is originally from Holladay, Utah. He was inspired to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon because he loved the immediate improvement it has on many peoples’ lives. The best part of his day is being able to make a possibly stressful procedure into something that can be comfortable for his patients.  He wants to ensure that every patient has a pleasant, experience at our office.

Dr. Metcalf attended the University of Utah, receiving his bachelor’s degree in 2008. Following this, he attended dental school at the University of Iowa where he was on the Dean’s List during all of his four years there. He acquired numerous academic awards and scholarships including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Student Implant award given to the student demonstrating outstanding achievements in the study of implants. During his final year, he was selected to become inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor society for his show of scholarship and character.

Following dental school, he decided to further his education and completed a four-year residency at the University of Oklahoma Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency. While there he gained extensive experience to treat a wide variety of oral and facial conditions including extraction of wisdom teeth, dental implants, trauma, corrective jaw surgery, TMJ surgery, and reconstructive surgery. He additionally was trained to safely perform many forms of anesthesia including general anesthesia. The experiences and training that he had at the University of Oklahoma shaped him into the surgeon that he is today.
